Digital Inspection

Some of my friends started a company called Argo Global that manufactures Fabric Inspection machines, that are used in modern day Yarn mills (textile). Fabric bundles pass an illuminated glass frame; inspectors identify defects and log meter readings.

We converted the entry job of the inspector by putting a digital touch screen for easy entry, the meter reading is auto-read from an optical meter. This reduced data-entry time and improved consistency. We also worked on an Image processing based auto-detection tool but put that on hold as data collection was an issue.
