From rocket propulsion to product
Gokul is an ex-ISRO scientist who designed and qualified space-grade power electronics for electric propulsion — the Power Processing & Control Unit (PPCU) for the 300 mN and 75 mN SPT thrusters used for orbit-raising and station-keeping on GSAT satellites. He built ISRO's first 6.5 kW ZVS power module at 90% efficiency, served as Secretary of the PSLV Test Results Review Committee, and was project manager for three technology-development projects totalling USD 1.4M. He holds B.Tech and M.Tech degrees in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay and a PhD from the National University of Singapore (ECE), where his DSO-funded research applied cloud-computing methods to radar. As President of the NUS Graduate Students' Society he grew the team from 16 to 75 and events from 8 to 60, earning the Students' Life Award for Leadership. He co-founded an ad-tech startup through NUS GRIP and is now CEO of tactyle by QSignage.
